Mario and his Son Chris are great. True Gelato ice cream. Everything is made on site and pricing is good. You can sit inside or outside and walking distance from Skytrain and False Creek Village. Parking available which you have to pay for but I think this is Vancouver, so we all expect it now. Great selection and friendly staff

I used to work at a gelato place so I know the differences between good gelato and ice cream. I got Panda flavour on a cone which is a black sesame with vanilla and it was not good. I didn’t like the texture, it was icy and not creamy at all. I feel it’s not fresh and like it’s been sitting on the display for long time. Also, the staff won’t give you spoon and napkins unless you asked for it. I don’t think I’ll come back.

My kids like coming here because of the wide selection of flavours. However I feel the prices are a bit high for one scoop ($4) and they don’t have kids size cones. Anyways they offer certain flavours in 1 litre size containers in the freezer at reasonable prices .

Got to try Mario’s Gelati for the first time via ANA airlines plane food. The vanilla bean ice cream was so smooth and delicious. You can really taste the vanilla bean and it tasted very high quality.

The staff aren’t well informed about the ingredients of the gelato that they sell. Unfortunately, I would not recommend anyone with allergies or food intolerancesto eat here.

75 cents profit over 25 year long customers. Sad to see the staff trained by greedy management tailored to tourist traffic.
Was purchasing an affogato $6.50, and asked to add a shot of espresso for $1.
They declined and said it’s $1.75 to add a shot. On their menu it said $1.75 shot of espresso; Add Extra Shot $1.00.
So wait, if I’m buying a shot of espresso for $1.75 you would add me an extra shot for $1.00, but if I’m buying an affogato for $6.50 then it’s $1.75. Ohh it must be the 75 cents for the 2 cent mouth rinse cup they pour the espresso into?! Sad to see business who are choosing to loose an extra $1.75 over making $1.

Lots of flavors you don't see elsewhere with goat milk or dietary specific & good staff, but prices a bit high & long queue on weekends. It's hard to pay for your scoops first not seeing the options nor the (generous) cup size so it'd be good to have a menu outside!

The gelato felt a bit too artificial in flavour for me, and the churning could have been smoother. When I think gelato and fancy places, this wouldn’t be where I go. More out of convenience type of thing to go to. However, the factory seconds are great deals! I also like the kiwi strawberry popsicle.
