The best gelato!! So many flavours to choose from- each absolutely delicious so you can’t go wrong. I was so surprised they make all their gelato in house. There’s a range of take home tubs, gelato sandwiches and gelato cakes. I love that they have a dog range too with dog cakes and dog gelato! So cute!!

Dulce Gelateria, a family-owned gelato store, offers 130 rotating flavors, with 26 available for scooping each week. Additionally, 80 flavors are ready for takeaway from their freezer. Everything is made from scratch on site, including vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free options. They take pride in crafting everything in-house!

Beyond gelato, they also feature a selection of cakes, waffle and cookie sandwiches, house-made toppings, and @dobbysdogicecream.

My favourite was the coconut lime and the Mr enjoyed the maple bacon because it had real bacon bits in it!

We also took home 2 tubs of panna cotta & cheesecakeake. It’s already been demolished lol. I wanted to take home more but I have no freezer space haha

Dulce Gelateria is a family-owned and operated gelato shop located on Main Street, Greensborough. Owner Daniel moved from Argentina in 2001 and had dreamt of opening a gelato shop ever since, and has 20+ years of experience making it under his belt.

Initially, the family planned to open a cafe that could hire people with Down Syndrome, providing them with meaningful employment opportunities. During the COVID pandemic, they discovered an ideal location for an gelato shop and decided to pursue that venture instead. Today, they employ three individuals with Down Syndrome.

There are a whopping 130 rotating flavours - 26 scooping at a time (swapped every week) and 80 available for takeaway in the freezer. Everything is made on site and from scratch, with vegan, gluten free and nut free options. Their most popular flavour ever was actually their liquorice (surprisingly as it’s so polarising) but these were my top 5 that we tried! ?

? Pistachio - pistachio paste with the nuts through it.
? Dulce de Leche - the dulce de leche used is actually imported straight from Argentina (their top brand - Havana).
? Coconut Lime - coconut gelato with lime rind throughout.
☕️ Mocha - same as their coffee flavour, but better, with choc pieces. Essentially a coffee straciatella!
? Mascarpone and Fig - fig ripple throughout.

They also have a selection of cakes, icecream for dogs, waffle and cookie sandwiches and house made toppings. We took home a couple tubs of Biscoff and Chilli Chocolate gelato. Pop in next time you’re around!

They have the coolest most interesting flavours it was so hard to choose. Who thought Avocado icecream would taste so delicious!! I used to live in Fitzroy surrounded by amazing ice cream stores but this is actually become my favourite.

WE ARE OBSESSED WITH DULCE!! Not only are all the flavours and options absolutely beautiful but Alex and the team are just as amazing! Your vegan options are also incredible! We can't wait to come back and try more flavours! Thank you for opening up in our local area - your gelato shop was much needed and the cake options will now forever be enjoyed for our birthday's and every other celebration!

Update Jan 2024 - still the best Gelato store in north east suburbs!!

Beautiful store, friendly staff, quality gelato!

Strolled down on a warm Friday afternoon with the kids and had ourselves some satisfying gelatos. I had a double scoop, cinnamon and rhubarb, both of which were tasty and smooth, especially the cinnamon where the spice really shone through. Kids had chocolate and berry sorbet which they were extremely happy with.

Honestly probably the best gelato store in the outer north east suburbs - although the selection in store is not enormous, there are plenty of crowd pleasers and gourmet flavours to keep the whole family happy, and the quality certain makes up for it!

Also a range of ice cream cakes and tubs of gelato for sale, which I’m sure we will sample on a subsequent visit.

We visited Dulce a gelato shop and hub of nighttime activity that this street so desperately needed. The ice cream is made fresh daily but the choice isn’t overwhelmingly varied. I had mango which was delicious and hazelnut which is typically a can’t go wrong flavour but I didn’t love this version.

The mango sorbet was incredibly difficult to scoop and I had to give up on my desire for a cone and opt for a cup after several failed attempts by the poor girl serving. Overall not overly impressive

Staff as sweet as the delicious ice creams! I have just enjoyed the BEST ice cream cake I've ever tasted! Choc mint! I can't recommend highly enough! You can taste the love & care in every creamy, delicious mouthful. Easy to order & seamless experience. Thank you so much, we will be back
