Great pasta, feels like home cooking with good flavour, efficient service, and reasonable rates. No fuss and very friendly, service was absolutely a standout, from the phone order to the welcoming staff on arrival, very good experience especially if after something quick but reliable and good value. Wish they were open for lunch too!

The food and the service took me back to being a child at my neighbours place who use to make all the food from scratch (elderly Italian woman) and my grandmothers cooking and she passed when I was 9. The experience was amazing. The staff are wonderful and caring and you can feel the passion for the food in the dishes. 5 stars isn’t enough and would always come back

Our first time ordering the pizza it was very tasty and well presented.
The past two times, however, have been very average.
It took over an hour's wait, and the result was highly unsatisfactory. Dry crust and lack of topping.
Inconsistency is highly frustrating.
We are now looking for other options.

This place is a Newcastle institution, and for good reason. We dined in for a family birthday and had such a fantastic night. The food is excellent - enormous servings, delicious and very reasonably priced. But it’s the service that really made the evening stand out. Everyone was so friendly and warm and accommodating. We were only there for a couple of hours but by the end it felt like we were all one big happy family!

Pretty sad. Confirmed my order twice over the phone when ordering. Picked up the food drove home went to eat my pasta and it was not my order. Stitch up because i couldn’t even go back and ask them nicely to change it because they were closed 🙁

Newcastle Institution
This is home style Italian cooking and country hospitality at its best. I was initially a little put off because I don't like to see food in bain-maries, but the food was terrific. My husband and I tried the veal saltimbocca and a couple of pastas - parmigiana (tomato eggplant) and vodka chilli. The food was tasty, the portions were generous and the service was friendly.
